Dental Lab, formerly known as the Denture Processing Center, was started in July 1955, when CQMU-SH was established, as a part of the Orthodontics Department, and officially became an independent department in 2001.
The department undertakes teaching tasks of stomatology and dental technology, both theoretical, experimental and practical, for students of all grades, including graduates, undergraduates and resident doctors. The members have been carrying out researches focusing on dental technologies and dental materials, and over the past five years, they have presided or participated in many scientific research projects, 2 national level, 3 provincial and ministerial level, 3 bureau level , and 3 college level; published over 30 research papers as the first or corresponding author, with more than 20 SCI papers; edited 2 textbooks and co-editing/translating 3 textbooks. Exceeding 15 patents have been granted, including 3 national invention patents,10 utility models and 2 designs.
