Department of Anesthesiology(Ranjiaba Branch)

The Department of Anesthesiology, originated in the mid-1970s, is the unit of the vice-chairmen of Sedation and Analgesia Special Committee of Chinese Stomatological Association, the unit of the Standing Committee of the Oral Anesthesia Special Committee, and the main unit of Specialist Alliance of Comfort Oral Medicine. It was approved as the Training Center for Comfort Oral Medicine of Chongqing Stomatological Association in 2017 and Key Clinical Specialist Construction Programs of Chongqing in 2022. At present, the department has 70 medical staff, including 15 anesthesiologists, among whom 1 is chief physician, 2 have doctorate degree, and 9 have masters’ degree. The department has set up 1 ward operating room, 1 anesthesia recovery room, 2 painless treatment centers and 2 outpatient operating rooms.

In the past three years, over 50,000 cases of oral sedation and analgesia(including 1,500 cases of pediatric oral therapy under general anesthesia) in outpatient clinics and nearly 3,000 cases of oral and maxillofacial surgery anesthesia treated in operating rooms were treated each year. Our special expertise includes outpatient conscious sedation and analgesia technology, child oral treatment under general anesthesia technology, medium-deep sedation technology, intravenous inhalation combined anesthesia technology, various types of difficult airway technology, controlled hypotension technology, and invasive blood flow learn monitoring technology, ultrasound, video laryngoscopy, fiberoptic bronchoscopy and other visual diagnosis and treatment technologies.

The department has undertaken 9 research projects, published more than 60 professional academic papers in various domestic and foreign journals, including 16 SCI papers, approved 3 patents, published 2 monographs edited-in-chief, and participated in editing 2 monographs and forming 2 industry standards. Since 2012, our department has held national continuing education classes every year, in which well-known experts at home and abroad were invited to give lectures, and more than 3,000 trainees have been trained, with medical resources radiating the whole country.
