Members of Cancer Prevention and Treatment Training Course for PNG Visit CQMU-SH

On November 30th, 2023, Stomatological Hospital of Chongqing Medical University hosted members of Cancer Prevention and Treatment Training Course for Papua New Guinea (PNG), organized by Chongqing Health Center. Prof. Dai Hongwei, vice dean of CQMU-SH, and staff members of related departments attended the meeting.

The meeting formally began with remarks from Prof. Dai Hongwei. He extended a warm welcome to the members and highlighted the importance CQMU-SH attached to international exchanges and cooperation. He expressed that this visit is a vivid practice of cooperation in jointly building the "Belt and Road" Initiative. Under the guidance of various superior departments, the hospital made scientific planning and careful preparation for this host, hopefully to contribute to enhancing understanding, expanding exchanges and deepening cooperation between Chinese and Pakistani counterparts.

Dr. Li Wenyang from Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery I, Wang Qiming from Surgery II and Zhang Chao from Anesthesiology introduced the characteristic clinical diagnosis and treatment techniques of their departments as well as the corresponding typical cases, respectively.

 After the meeting, the PNG members visited the departments under the accompany of the three doctors and get a deeper understanding of our department distribution, medical techniques, advanced medical devices, etc.  

CQMU-SH always adheres to the concept of building a community with a shared future for human health. Since 2002, the hospital has sent 3 staff members to Papua New Guinea for medical assistance, and successfully completed the task of the foreign medical assistance. This visit will deepen the mutual understanding on medical health for both sides, strengthen cooperation, and together promote our health and medical service level, thus benefiting more people in both countries.
