Department of Orthodontics(Ranjiaba Branch)

The Department of Orthodontics of SH-CQMU (Ranjiaba branch) is a comprehensive department integrating clinical service, teaching and scientific research. It is a National Clinical Key Specialty, Chongqing key medical discipline as well as key discipline of Chongqing Education Commission. It is also the digital precision diagnosis and treatment center of Orthodontics specialty, and training base for the doctor, master, international students and residents.

The department has currently 35 treatment chairs, and all equipment has been disinfected in the supply center, so as to protect the safety of patients in an all-round way. The department is one of the largest digital precision diagnosis and treatment centers of Orthodontics in Chongqing with elegant and comfortable treatment environment, and is equipped with world-class digital high-end oral hardware equipment for examination, diagnosis and treatment, such as imported cone beam CT, professional orthodontic dolphin software, intraoral scanner, 3D laser printing technology, etc.

There are 42 medical staff members in our department, including 4 professors, 8 associate professors, 20 doctors and 2 masters. Over 80% of clinicians have doctor's degree or above or have studied abroad, and more than half of them have won awards in national clinical competitions. The team has presided 13 National Natural Science Foundation projects and over 20 provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, and published more than 100 academic papers.

 Diagnosis and treatments include:

1. Early orthodontic treatment for malocclusion in children

2. Orthodontic treatment for malocclusion in adolescents

3. Combined orthodontic and orthognathic surgery for severe facial bone deformities

4. Orthodontic treatment of temporomandibular joint diseases, etc.
