The Outpatient Department at University-Town Hospital of Chongqing Medical University

The department is located on the 3rd floor of the outpatient building of the University-Town Hospital of Chongqing Medical University (CQMU). The department covers an area of 2,000 square meters with currently 34 dental chairs in two treatment areas. At present, the department has 41 medical staff, including 20 doctors, 16 of who have intermediate and senior professional titles and 4 residents, and all of who have doctorate or master degree. As the dental clinic portal deployed in Chongqing Science City, it has successively established the general dental training base and the general dental teaching and research section of stomatology over the past ten years of hard working, and gradually developed into a general dental clinic that integrates medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, and prevention. It was rated as the key clinical specialty of Chongqing in 2018 and the national key professional base for standardized training of resident physicians in 2021.

The department is equipped with advanced dental cone-beam CT machine, digital dental film machine, digital curved tomography machine and other oral digital imaging equipment. Moreover, it also has a root canal microscope, dental laser treatment instrument, outpatient comfortable general anesthesia system, outpatient nitrous oxide system, oral implant machine, high-frequency electric knife, oral digital CAD/CAM system, painless ultrasonic scaler, and machine-used nickel titanium. There are multiple sets of oral digital medical equipment, including root canal treatment equipment, ultrasonic root canal treatment instrument, root canal length measuring instrument, hot gutta-percha root canal filling equipment, etc., as well as complete and advanced disinfection room equipment. The modernized hardware configuration not only guarantees the medical quality, but also support for the further development of our department.
